Congratulations to Joshua and Norah Makori and sisters Moraa and Anna. Mercy Kwamboka became
the newest member of our church family on Aug. 8, 3:39 a.m. She was 20-1/2 inches long and
weighed 6 lbs 7 oz. |

Condolences: Sergey Kobzev's brother, Yuriy Kobzev, passed away in Siberia after a severe illness
at the age of 45, leaving his wife and two children. Yuriy was a well-known musician and actor and
very close to Sergey. Our hearts go out to this grieving family and we lift them up in prayer to God for
comfort and hope. |

Church Office Hours: Our church secretary, Mary Stauner, works part-time and her hours
are: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00-12:00 noon. |

New Church Sign!: With thankful praise our $25,000 goal has been reached! Thank you very
much for your generous contributions. We are working at having the sign installed this summer. |

Disaster Response Training will take place in Rochester at the Adventist church on
September 26-27, 2008. If you wish to be trained so that you can be on a team to assist

Monthly Potlucks are being suspended until further notice. We have
started a new hospitality ministry that involves families inviting guests and church
members home for Sabbath lunch. |

suitable for children for Sabbath enjoyment, e.g. with biblical or nature themes. Can
