As we reflect on Thanksgiving at the start of the holiday season, we have much to be thankful for at MCA. We are thankful for the many volunteers who make our work possible. From our computer project to maintaining our facilities to help in the classroom and at special events, we couldn't do it without you.
We also thank our staff, our students and their families. Your commitment to Christian education strengthens the school and your sacrifices inspire us. We are privileged to spend five days a week with our students. We pray for them, we learn from them, and we are very thankful to have been trusted to provide them with a Christian education. Our students are thankful for the educational opportunity they have at MCA.
Here are a few comments from the students as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches:
Every day I am excited to come to school. I have made many friends because we all have a common interest: we love the school.
MCA helps me with my spiritual life.
I am thankful for being here because this school gets me closer to God than a public school.
This is my first year in the U.S. MCA is a great school. It has friendly students plus friendly teachers.
I'm so thankful because I feel rich just for coming here.
This is my sixth year here at this school and I'm really glad I'm here because this school has changed me a lot inside and I am really thankful for that.
It was hard for me to start a new school during the middle of the school year and the middle of winter! At first I didn't like it, but then I got to know the teachers. I got new friends, so it's all right now.
I like how easy it is to make friends at MCA. Everyone here is very accepting and kind.
I go to MCA because of the environment in the school. Everyone knows each other; we are all friends and have a good time doing stuff.
Yes, we have much to be thankful for at MCA. We ask you to continue to lift us up in prayer-our students and their families, our staff, the many volunteers and donors who give so freely of their time and resources to enable our school to continue it's nearly 120 years of service. Christian education does make a difference in the lives of children. We are truly thankful for that.
